MONTELL ALLEN: GRAPHIC 3

For this assignment I decided to make a custom business card logo using my initials as the design. I have explored both Gimp 2.10.8 as well as Photoshop throughout this course; however, I decided to give Photoshop another try. The first step was to pick a font that was sleek and professional. After I found an appropriate font, I then felt that adding a paper texture would give a real life feel of a business card. 

I then proceeded to use the color texture tool to create the multicolor camouflage effect. I felt that it would allow for good black and white contrast. From there, I messed around with both the saturation and the black and white mask. Personally both tools are very useful and to me as an amateur in using these tools I may have gotten similar results with my grayscale and black and the images. Finally for my 3D logo the best way that knew to make the logo pop was to simply add a drop shadow. Often times this can be seen as very simple, but I believe it was an effective display of a 3D image with a basic design.
