WEB 2.0 TOOL: CANVA

The purpose of this page was to fulfill the Web 2.0 Tool assignment requirement for EDET 703. When presented with this assignment it was very hard to decide which Web 2.0 tool would relate to me being a football coach. I tried to think of what tool would be most useful for me if I were to start my own program from the ground up. I know one thing is for certain and that football is very much a sport that is known for is visual appeal. I decided to explore the uses of Canva as a great tool for football coaches to use. Canva is a web based graphic design tool that allows users to create and edit documents, posters, images, etc. This tool comes completely free to users but also has some premier features that one can subscribe to. There are 1,000's of free customization features that gives users free reign to create and alter images. This tool is fantastic for coaches who are working at programs that have a limited budget. With the help of Canva, a coach is able to create playbook covers, game posters, recruiting graphics etc. The image shown is an example of s sample playbook cover that a coach would be able to draft and print for his/her players. This is possible because once you create your graphic or image, Canva allows you to convert your image to JPEG or PNG format. To take it a step further, Canva allows users to create posters. Posters are great for coaches to be able to post around campus to gain student engagement with on campus activities. Canva is a tool that I would recommend to any young up and coming coaches to help create an identity for their program.
