 GOAL 4: MAKING USE OF A DAILY PLANNER

HOW TO MAP OUT A MONTH WITH A DAILY PLANNER

  1. Start by mapping each month

  2. Look at the syllabus for each class and see when each assignment is due.

  3. Gather colored pens that correspond with the colors selected to represent each class and obligation.

  • Biology 120 (Red)

  • Calculus 330 (Blue)

  • English 220 (Green)

  • Speech 101 (Purple)

  • Research Methods 410 (Black)

  • Sports Obligations: practice, meetings, weights, games (Orange)

  • Social Events (Yellow)

4. Write all big assignments and the due dates along with sporting and social obligations in the monthly outline to map out the scope of the entire month.

  • Write all assignments for Biology 120 in red.

  • Write all assignments for Calculus 330 in blue.

  • Write all assignments for English 220 in green.

  • Write all assignments for Speech 101 in purple.

  • Write all assignments for Research Methods in black.

  • Write all sport obligations in orange.

  • Write all social events in silver yellow.

IN CLOSING...

5. Move to the weekly breakdown, and write down tasks that need to get done for each day of the week specifically. Make sure to maintain the same organization with the colors associated with each class or event.
6. After a task or assignment is complete, be sure to cross off the event to distinguish its completion from other tasks that still need to be finished.
7. Alter, and/or update this planner daily to keep up with assignments or events that come about.
